Medium tall tropical evergreen forest. Flat, soil fine sandy and clay, with small pre-Cambrian sandstone hill. Phenacospermum, Bertholletia excelsa.

Slender shrub 2 m tall. Leaves somewhat stiff and "tinny". Inflorescence hanging; bracts and branches puple; fruit green.
